Saturday Esl Essay

Many people in this world are born with abilities to make life entertaining while it lasts, some people grow into their talents as they grow up and some are born with talents making them prodigies and making their lifes a joy to watch and becoming idols for people who want to become like them. this people are the reason of people wanting to become better in life, those intelligent people that took that chance of becoming who they are, giving us example on how they did it. How we can take that chance when it comes to us.

In the first picture i see three scientists laughing at might what seems to be a chemical reaction of their laboratory, something unexpected happened and they are just laughing. i also see some liquids that are different color. i know they are in a laboratory because they are using protecting gear such as goggles and aprons and because they have a chemistry table defining what composes a chemical.

The second picture see a guy singing and playing the piano at the same time multi tasking and he also seems to enjoy it, he seems to have a lot of confidence in himself so he must be an experienced person on that subject.

If there was something i would like to get better at i think i would like to get better in soccer and on learning more about astronomy because there's so many mysteries in the universe waiting to be discovered and just the fact that there's so many unanswered questions makes the mind wonder about the theories that could come and make such thing as an universe.

The soccer skills, i think i am a very good player, i got the passion and the dedication. but somehow i really just want to improve to know am capable of.

Poems

A Special World

A special world for you and me
A special bond one cannot see
It wraps us up in its cocoon
And holds us fiercely in its womb.

Its fingers spread like fine spun gold
Gently nestling us to the fold
Like silken thread it holds us fast
Bonds like this are meant to last.

And though at times a thread may break
A new one forms in its wake
To bind us closer and keep us strong
In a special world, where we belong.

If I could have just one wish,
I would wish to wake up everyday
to the sound of your breath on my neck,
the warmth of your lips on my cheek,
the touch of your fingers on my skin,
and the feel of your heart beating with mine...
Knowing that I could never find that feeling
with anyone other than you.

Never Have I Fallen

Your lips speak soft sweetness
Your touch a cool caress
I am lost in your magic
My heart beats within your chest

I think of you each morning
And dream of you each night
I think of your arms being around me
And cannot express my delight

Never have I fallen
But I am quickly on my way
You hold a heart in your hands
That has never before been given away

Prodigy Children research.

Nicholas Nip (born March 10, 1998) is a United States Chess Federation (USCF) National Master (NM). He is the youngest USCF Master in history, obtaining a rating of 2207 at the age of 9 years 11 months.[3][4][5]

Nip's feat broke the record held for a decade by fellow chess prodigy Hikaru Nakamura. However, the new record is not without controversy because matches were included in the rating calculations, prompting allegations of manipulation.[6]

On April 21, 2008, Nip played ten simultaneous games on Live with Regis and Kelly. He defeated nine and had one draw.[7]

Nicholas Nip from the Bay Area just broke the record for the youngest USCF Master ever. At nine years and 11 months, Nicholas earned 20 rating points in a Mechanics quad on March 4, Tuesday night, pushing him to 2207. Nicholas Nip can be very proud of whose record he shattered: GM Hikaru Nakamura became the record-holder for a decade in 1998, when he was 10 years old and 3 months. (Hikaru broke Vinay Bhat's record from 1995.)

Nip first learned to play chess in kindergarten at the Academic Chess Program. Since age six, he learned from the husband and wife team, Lina Vark and Eric Hicks. Nicholas won the first tournament he ever played in: the 1st grade championship in the Northern California Regional Champs. Nicholas recently participated in the fifth session of the U.S. Chess School , organized by Greg Shahade. This session was led by GM Yury Shulman and held at the Mechanics Institute in San Francisco. Yury, who said that Nicholas Nip reminded him of Nakamura, commented on his overall impression of Nip from the session:

In the simul against me, Nicholas played well in the opening, converting to simply drawn endgame and was overplayed by GM boring play. By the end of our session he was able to improve his endgame technique by simply adding some knowledge to his play! He was unstoppable in blitz competition - unbelievably fast calculation and very good technique in conversion of advantage are his strongest points. He needs to work on his endgame, of course, on his positional play; he has a very easy receipt to improve - accumulate the knowledge! Then use it :)

He is also a very friendly kid. He impressed me with a little thing - when everyone left for lunch, he set pieces on every single board for the next class.

Nicholas has gained the 200 points to push him from expert to master in less than a year. You can see the details of his meteoric rise on MSA.

San Francisco blogger and Life Master Michael Aigner (fpawn) writes: "The fact that he has already defeated 9(!) different established masters, including this writer, at slow tournament time controls bodes very well..." Read more on Aigner's blog.

Here is a win from Nip against Eric Schiller, who contested Nicholas in match in the Fall of 2007. Nip plays the Black side of a Panov Sicilian, and demonstrates fine technique, not exactly the type of master scalp you'd expect from a nine-year-old!

Journal entry : Before you Read.

My mother always wanted me to be in the medical career, she says that its an easy job and pays really good, it was her desire for me to be inspired by this Carrier ever since i was born because she send me to live with her sister who was a medical assistant and so i lived with her for a few months, but i noticed she was very careful on everything like she got mad if i played with dirt and she also was very strict about the schedule for eating, and i got used to it but didn't like it since then, after that i came to the united states and started to aim for new things, like for example a mechanical engineer, but then after i was reading bout the career i noticed that you needed to be really good in math to be in that career so i just close that door of desire in me to be a mechanical engineer because math is my weakness and i don't think i would ever master it. so i went back to the medical area. i think i can be a pediatrician because i have a good way with little kids and i also am a very good talker and i think i can help them in there pain whatsoever. i got good charisma and very friendly i think those are my talents also i can make people laugh. right now i am living the expectations wanting to do good in school and after that go to an institute and get a degree on medical assistant and from there to aim for the pediatrician.

Pilgrims Seek Religious Freedom in Plymouth

Thanksgiving is celebrated mostly in two country's that are United states and Canada, this holiday started in the 1600 hundred and started to become popular in the 1800.We celebrate now a days thanksgiving by inviting people that we care for for a diner in the thanksgiving night and having a good time eating turkey and saying thanks to everything we appreciate in life.not like back then where it was celebrated as a religious act, because now we celebrate thanksgiving regardless of people's religion Asian,Spanish,African Americans and whites celebrate this. in my country its called " El Dia de Gracias " its a celebration which we adopted from the united states. its like the day of the turkey on which has become very popular, like when thanksgiving is coming you know you will eat turkey its like something you have to do or else it wont be fully thanksgiving but still many people eat chicken because they don't like turkey and still celebrate it with respect for this holiday.

The Most Dangeous Game

The story is about a man named Rainsford who after the boat he was on a boat that crashed into the reef or rocks and it got damaged and sunk with all of the people in it, Rainsford survived and swam ed to the shore, he heard shot guns in the air so he knew there was human life in the island he had arrived. he went looking for signs of life till he found a mansion, in there he met General Zaroff who's passion was to hunt, as they introduced to each other, the both could understand each other because they both love hunting the difference was that Rainsford was a beginner compared to the general, he had hunted for years and many animals.

Rainsford and general Zaroff had one thing in common and that was the love for hunting. they hunted with reasoning and not with instict. the only difference between them is that Rainsford didn't have had the experience as general Zaroff on hunting because the general had killed the most games around the world. another thing in common they had was that they both were well spoked and very high class and they could spoke in a way that they can connect form on anther's experience and passions for life.

The conflict in this story is man vs nature, because the conflict is about hunting and how can it be understood in different ways, for example if someone kills another human its called murder, and if someone kills an animal its called a hunt. now both of this has to do with killing a living thing and it doesn't matter what you call it murder or hunting its still taking the life of another living thing for fun or just because.this conflict is resolved by no other way than the hunt. it was the general who said that the only way that Rainsford was going home or another place other than the island to escape was to play the game of Zaroff vs Rainsford for the hunt, if Rainsford survived after 3 days Zaroff would admit defeat and let Rainsford escape the island under the condition that Rainsford wouldn't tell no one that zaroff was murdering people for game called hunt. at the end Zaroff and Rainsford were fighting hand to hand. and the winner would of be sleeping in the big bed that night. the story ends on how Rainsford says that he had never felt better in that bed, so Rainsford won and was still proud to call himself " the beast at bay ".

i think that Rainsford is not going to stay in the island because there's to much crime in it and his mission was to leave the island as soon as he got there and i don't think he would like to stay in that fierce island for more time, i think he would go back to land and tell the truth to the police about the island and general Zaroff and he would say that in his defense that he killed Zaroff self defense from he was about to do and that he had evidence in that mansion because there was proof of all murder Zaroff committed in his trophy room, i don't believe that Rainsford would become another Zaroff because he was against him from the beginning his passion was to hunt animals and not human life.

If i was rainsford i would of killed general zaroff when it was not too late before he can send me off to the island trying to hunt me because then it will be a really big risk if i got killed and died over just wanting to go home.i think general zaroff knew that he was going to win and the ironic thing was that he failed and he was shocked when he saw rainsford and was planing to kill him anyways if he survived or not thats why the broke into the fight on wich rainsford won.
